Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings official trailer out now

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Following a brief teaser in April, Marvel Studios has released the first official trailer for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, one of three films the studio will release this year along with Black Widow and The Eternals.

The new trailer offers a more in-depth look at Marvel’s best martial artist. There are grappling clubs, magical rings, and a massive submarine dragon called Fin Fang Foom. Simu Li plays Shang-Chi, the son of Wenwu, the powerful and evil leader of the terrorist organization Ten Rings.

The cast includes Awkwafina as Katy, Shang’s ex-girlfriend; Zhang Meng as Xialing, Shang’s sister; Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan; Fala Chen as Jiang Li; Florian Munteanu as the Marvel Comics villain Razor Fist; and an unnamed actor as Marvel’s new character, Death Dealer.

Finally, Tony Leung plays Wenwu, the true identity of Mandarin, the criminal organization Ten Rings’ secret leader. The Mandarin and the ten rings were introduced in the Iron Man trilogy as a ruse for Aldrich Killian’s plan for global dominance. In Shang-Chi, the truth will be much more fantastic.

The Abomination from The Incredible Hulk appears to be making a return to the MCU after years of absence, as seen in the trailer, though we can’t be certain that it’s the same character.
