Replay opens Nickelodeon-themed arcade bar in Chicago’s Lincoln Park

Replay Lincoln Park hopes to appeal to both Millenials and those who experienced Nickelodeon’s heyday with a new pop-up arcade bar concept that combines ’90s nostalgia with a love for retro gaming.
Every kid from the late 1980s into the 1990s watched a Nickelodeon animation at some point. These cartoon series – such as Rugrats, Hey Arnold, CatDog, Doug, and Rocko’s Modern Life – represent a big part of our upbringing.
Everything in life has its moments. Replay Lincoln Park is helping us replay classic arcade games in an environment where we can laugh and wonder at the times we had while watching Nick.
From now until July 11, the pub will turn its entire 9,000 square feet of their premises – including their outside patio – into famous places inspired by Nickelodeon classics from the 1990s.
The Nick arcade pop-up will provide a flashback to some of the finest moments from childhood faves, allowing visitors to finally capture the photo that their 1990s selves could only dream about. Bubbles will be plentiful, as will slime, in addition to brightly colored décor particular to each presentation.
Those who want to go to the pub can do so for free with no cover or tokens needed, in order to play the arcade machines and enjoy a few drinks. If you want a table, you must make a reservation, which costs $20 per person for 90 minutes at a table. It includes a $20 beverage credit. People under 21 will receive a commemorative t-shirt in place of the drink credit.
To guarantee the safety of consumers and personnel, COVID-19 limitations and guidelines will be carefully enforced. Guests who can produce documentation of being completely vaccinated will be able to remove their masks. Please keep in mind that this is not an official Nickelodeon event.
Over 30 free classic arcade games are available in Replay Lincoln Park, including pinball, air hockey, skeeball, and other amusements. Replay’s hours are below:
