Nintendo Switch Lounge offers respite for weary O’Hare air travelers

Air travelers hoping for a momentary distraction amidst the hustle and bustle of O’Hare will soon have a new option.

Nintendo is bringing the Switch Lounge to four major American airports, offering fun for air travelers impatiently waiting for their next flight. The four participating airports are spread throughout the United States. They include Chicago’s O’Hare International, Washington Dulles, Seattle-Tacoma International, and Dallas Love airports.

The temporary lounges will have “comfortable seating, charging ports, and Nintendo Switch game demos,” the video game giant says. The handheld-console hybrid will be playable in both handheld mode and TV mode.

The game lounges will feature demos of some of the Switch’s most popular games. You’ll be able to try Legend of Zelda: Breath of the WildMario Kart 8 DeluxeSuper Mario OdysseySuper Mario Party, and Tetris 99, among others.

The temporary lounge at O’Hare will open on February 17 and close on March 29. It is located inside Terminal 1, beyond TSA security screening. You’ll find it in Concourse B between Gates B12 and B14.
