Broken Diamonds debuts in theaters and streaming on July 23
In the upcoming film Broken Diamonds, Ben Platt co-stars with Lola Kirke as a young writer dealing with the loss of his father.
This summer, Ben Platt will release several films about emotional and mental health. He co-stars in Broken Diamonds, an independent film that premiered earlier this year at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, alongside Dear Evan Hansen.
Following his father’s death, a twenty-something writer (Platt) finds his dream of relocating to Paris jeopardized when he is forced to temporarily house his wildly unpredictable, mentally ill sister (Lola Kirke).
The film comes from the producers who brought us La La Land. It is the first feature from screenwriter Steve Waverly and the second feature film from director Peter Sattler.
Broken Diamonds is available through streaming on-demand and in theaters on July 23, 2021.
