Bike the Drive this Sunday from Edgewater to Hyde Park

The 18th annual Bike the Drive is this Sunday between Bryn Mawr Avenue in Edgewater and 57th Street in Hyde Park.
Lake Shore Drive will be closed to car traffic between 5 AM and 10:30 AM to allow bikers the chance to make the 30-mile loop along the city’s iconic drive. Although traffic will be closed beginning at 5 AM, the event actually begins at 5:30 AM. The organizers of the event recommend that bikers begin at least before 7 AM. Riders who complete the 30-mile trek are eligible for a medal.
Registration is required. The early bird registration fee is $55 for non-members. Same-day registration is $66 for non-members. Riders who are 17 years old or younger can register for only $17. Click here for registration details.
All riders must display a rider number, helmet number, and wristband throughout the entire event. These items are included as part of a rider packet, which must be picked up prior to the event. Click here for details.

- Fullerton Avenue
- Jackson Drive and Columbus Drives (Start/Finish line)
- Oakwood Boulevard
- Museum of Science and Industry (57th Street)
