Bernie Sanders to hold rally in Grant Park on Saturday

Senator Bernie Sanders

Senator Bernie Sanders is coming to Chicago on Saturday to hold a campaign rally ahead of the Illinois primary on March 17.

Sanders is the latest Democratic presidential candidate to visit Chicago. Senator Elizabeth Warren held a town hall in Chicago last spring. More recently, Warren held a rally in Edgewater where she received the endorsement of Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky. Warren ended her campaign for president this week.

For his part, Chicago was one of Sanders’ first stops after announcing his 2020 bid. Saturday’s rally will take place at the Petrillo Music Shell within Grant Park in downtown Chicago. The campaign says that attendees can enter at 11:30 AM with the event starting at 1:30 PM.

The event is free and open to the public. Admission is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are not required, but an RSVP is encouraged.

If you plan on attending, it’s recommended that you take public transportation. The Red Line and the El are just a few blocks away from Grant Park. We have embedded a map below for your convenience.
